TRUTH:

Has it ever occurred to you that some ministers are ministering in wrong congregations? A clear example is the case of Stephen. Sometimes of course, there are congregations where the ministers in such congregations are wrong ministers!

TRUTH:

What are the criteria we use for screening Church members for such positions like Prophet, Pastor, Evangelist, Apostle and Teacher? How about such positions like secretary, treasurer, head of one committee or the other? Today, the qualifications used to choose people for positions in several Churches are unbiblical.

TOPIC: Words of this Life Cannot be Caged

TEXT: Acts 5: 17 - 26

KEY VERSE: But during the night, an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.- Acts 5: 19

TRUTH:

The message of the cross can never be imprisoned. The powers that be try as much as possible to stop the spread of the gospel. They used their influence, contact and money to stop the message. However, no matter what anybody does, the gospel can never be caged. The message of God will never return to him void but shall accomplish the purpose for which it was sent.

TOPIC: The Price of being a Disciple of Jesus

TEXT: Acts 4: 1-4

KEY VERSE: they were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. - Acts 4: 2

TRUTH:

To be a Christian is free of charge. You do not pay a farthing for it. Jesus has already paid the price with His blood! However, it is not enough for you to be a Christian; you must grow to the level of being a disciple of the Lord. Here, you have a price to pay when you choose to be one. Jesus Himself said if they persecute the master, they will equally persecute the disciple.

TOPIC: The Purpose of a Miracle

KEY VERSE: While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. - Acts 3: 11

TRUTH:

Every miracle that you enjoy from God has a purpose. Stop telling members of your Church during thanksgiving that “God knows the reason of my thanksgiving” or may the great thig God has conquered never rise its head again. Some claim that they are doing so out of divine directions, but this is actually from the pit of ignorance of the one who told the person or himself.
